EYE MAKE-UP 2016.Everyone knows it’s not Christmas without a healthy sprinkling of glittereyeshadow. So,inspired by all the gorge looks flooding Instagram at this time of year (we especially love @georgiarosex), we’ve put together a step-by-step guide to help you recreate the dreamiest eye makeup that we’ve seen.
Start by priming your eyelids so your eyeshadow and glitter stay in place.Freedom Pro Eye Primer works to intensify the colour and helps it to last longer.
Using an eyeshadow palette with fairly neutral colours – we like MUA Trio Eyeshadow in Pink Sorbet – put the lightest shade onto your brush and sweep it all the way across your lid. Then apply the darker brown shade from the palette to the outer corners of each eye and along the crease, to add definition and make your eyes pop. Finish with a small dab of the medium colour in the centre of each eyelid.
To help the glitter to stick and last, lightly apply a cream shadow – try Maybelline Color Tattoo in On and On Bronze – to the areas where you want your glitter to be. We recommend the outer corners and, if you’re feeling brave, you can extend the area out into a wing.
Apply glitter over the cream shadow. Barry M Fine Glitter Dust in Pink is perfect for this. Use a small brush, like Makeup Revolution Pro E101 Eyeshadow Brush, to press the glitter on neatly and precisely. Avoid sweeping the glitter as this will result in too much fallout under your eyes!
Once you’re happy with your glitter, line your eyes with an intense black liner, like Barry M Liquid Eyeliner – again, you can wing out the line if you want – then finish with lashings of Max Factor Glamour Extensions Mascara.
Time to fill in your brows. We love Freedom Pro Brow Pomade because it gives brows some serious definition and finishes off the whole look neatly.
